I don't think that that's a desacration of the song...I think that it's brilliant how much Bruce can get new ideas for his old songs...

I really don't like this version either, to be honest. Has little to do with "understanding" Bruce or "knowing more" about him..I just think there's too much going on on stage..that and the performance just isn't all that tight. Can anyone tell me if they've found the cover version that The Band did a few years back? It was absolutely brilliant, but I cannot seem to find it on Youtube.

I've had to go find listen to a great live acoustic version of Atlantic City and a fab live version of Johnny 99 done in Paris to get this DRIVEL music out of my head. (I've the speakers turned DOWN typing this..) This embarking into country-roots-callitwhatyoulike-honky tonk was a wrong turning by Bruce. Quite a few will say this, I now far more about him than you do Jono11.
