I love Hee Haw too. I grew up on this show. This show is what got me into the old style of country music (classic country) and my father too (that's all he ever listened to).
I have about 4 DVD's of Hee Haw. I need to get the rest of the collection soon.

I remember Stringbean and Estelle's murder. I was a freshman at Vanderbilt U. in 1973. Really rocked Nashville...talk about lost innocence!

Stringbean was great at those downplayed roles, he was also the scarecrow in the cornfield scenes

I love Hee Haw. I agree with datsundave. I wish the comedy on TV was like this today. Its so dirty today its not worth watching.

Ol' Stringbean didn't say a word during this skit.

As always, Archie was funny and a pleasure to watch. Comedy that is clean and hilarious

STRINGBEAN sittin' calmly in the barber's seat - he was sadly murdered later in real life. |
