Yerba Mate Preparation

Traditional preparation of Yerba Mate (www.MyWellnessFoods.com). Usually, fill up the mate again and again going through the whole thermo. By that time you might have to reload your mate due to the yerba going lavado (flat tasting). Add various herbs such as: ginger, stevia, chamomile, etc. Sweeten with raw cane, honey, or agave nectar for mate dulce. I prefer it plain, amargo (bitter). PeaceGrace. Post Script: Canarias is from Uruguay but it is said to be "Brazil's number one selling". Thanks everyone for correcting me! Uruguay was the first to socialize the mate. You see iasononline is preparing a mate by the uruguayan way, the best way. Argentinians don't use "thermos" with the hot water.

yes yes yes it does make sense! But what about Uruguay? 2 weeks ago i was in Buenos Aires, and it looks to me that ppl over there drink mate just like we do in Porto Alegre, in the offices, at home, in the park with your friends at weekends and so on....but in Montevideo i got very impressed as the uruguayans dont go anywehre with having a flask under their arms. They drink it even when they go shopping or gambling! pretty cool...
