I found this cover also very dark, the "catchy" elements make the dark ones even more noticeable. Somehow it reminds of Death in June in the sense that the music is very dark and has catchy pop elements at the same time. Excellent cover, all covers should be like this one, offering a really different version instead of repeting the original song with another singer.
