Don't you just love pretend play? How the little man remembered all of that recipe and did the actions to go with it is fantastic. Thumbs up to his parents for just letting him go with it.

Wonderful how the boy (unintentionally) brings out, Buster-Keaton-wise, the comic self-importance of Bittman. Bittman's original act now becomes incredibly comic on its own. Try it for yourself.

in case you haven't figured this out yet, at 1:04 when you don't know what he said, he's saying "lie, 4", as in when mark bittman says "okay i lied, there are 4 steps."
