Dell doesn't only sell computers running Windows. Where did you get that from? They sell computers running Red Hat and Ubuntu. A lot of computers, especially servers, run linux. There's also a massive community of developers working in the Linux scene. Are you typing faster than you can think, again?

holdo on, if microsoft losses money to linux, sorry i type faster than i think, and microsoft has control over most computer comapnies that a linux runs on, no computer, no linux, take dell for examlple, dell can only mae windows computers,signed as an agreement by microsoft. and yes i know what linux is. but i have to admit the people at linux are smart. they dont hireother people to build it ,

95% HPC (High Performance) Clusters, and if you consider every type of Server, Linux dominates that sector as well with Apache on Linux. The overwhelming server of the Web!
Believe it or not GhostXoP, Linux rules the World. The Chinese are leading the way. Who have now gone ahead of the USA in PC's online. Soon they will have a larger presence online with Cell Phones than any nation on earth! By 2015 with India, they will have well over half of those online in the entire World run by Linux!

Linux is actually an OS Kernel maintained via Open Source License. The Corporations involved in donating money, code time include: IBM, Intel, HP, Sun, Google w/OHA (Open Handset Alliance), Sony, Nokia, and about 300 others put money into maintaining Linux (even Apple donates code, time and money)!
The reason? Because Linux can be installed on most any platform including over 2/3's of the World's Super Computers!
