i think wiking was virtually destroyed in 1944 in the pocket of "?" by the russians the problem with the ss is that some were very good units but others completely criminal

you should be proud,wiking and nordland commited no war crimes..steiner was a good commander and in the Wiking,Nordland and Westland swedish men fought together with dutch :)...and german,finnish,norwiegian,danish,estonian,flanders and french..

My father was a untersturmfuhrer in the Wiking Division. At the end of the war he walked back to the Netherlands from Russia and was arrested and imprisoned for ten years by his own people and released in 1955. He was very proud to be in the SS - Wiking.
