We will never stop mankind abusing primates, we're too diverse in culture. Some cultures value animal life the same as humans, others cling onto ridiculous religious beliefs and order their women to cover up in public. While some races think nothing of smashing a small primates head in and eating the brain or eating the equivalent of the family dog/cat.
