Mainly because Sudan has discovered a great deal of oil and has already sold it all for the rest of time to the People's Republic of China. Both these points making it rather unpopular on the international stage. So in Sudan there is a sense of anti-colonialism, a sense of being besieged by the new colonialism

And We gunned down thousands of the Mahdi's followers to demonstrate that we ruled the Sudan. . Then as Mr Churchill, actually, revealed in the PallMall Gazette and he was wrongly denounced as a traitor for doing so, Mr Churchill revealed that British soldiers dug up the corpse of the Mahdi from his grave and cut his head off and used the skull as a football. Then there was a long period of time in which Sudan and Egypt was ruled effectively through proxy by the British Empire.

5/ white America steal the land of the native indians plunder the oil in Texas, control militarily the oil in middle east, plunder the oil in iraq and still feel the need to buy oil from Angola - which by western standard is a country where "human rights" are violated. So why should America itself buy oil from a country which violates "human rights" when dictating others not to do so.

C. Believe me, Chinese investing in Africa is mutually beneficial to both African and Chinese. All people are equal and I do hope that the evolution of history would bring human beings together in some peaceful way.

3/ Now thats its clear that China will never curb to US pressure on Darfur/oil issue, why dont US stop buying Chinese goods as punishment. simple: because they are incapable to do so withot hurting themselves.

2/ He bluffed only to get a few thousands votes more. So why should China sanction Soudan on "human rights" issue when America itself is incapable to sanction China economically on the same "human rights" issue.

1/ China don't like to make empty threats and bluffs. They need the oil of Soudan and they pay at high price. China is not capable of sanctioning Soudan without hurting itself.
Bill Clinton during his presidential campaign in 1991 promised to sanction China once he wopuld be in office. Did he hold his promise. No. Why because America economy do not allow it to do it. So why did he bluffed

As a developing country, China can better understand the situation in Sudan and the other African countries. A good cooperation could benefit all sides, and eventually improve the life qualities of all people.
