This is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. It's even better than I thought it would be. And as an added bonus the acting was amazing!! The only performer that didn't blow me away was Demi Moore but she didn't do that bad of a job. And yes this is one of Costners best performances. It's in a way underrated because it contains some of the best performances I've seen in years and not one was even nominated for any awards. It only recieved one nomination for "Discovery of the year??"

This movie will be one of my all time favorites. Costner and Hurt were brilliant. The filming, lighting, settings were perfect. I can't name a favorite scene because there were several. My favorite line was, "We drive around until we find someone we think it would be fun to kill." Not that I think serial killers are a good thing. But what an amazing glimpse into a really deranged mind.

I just watched this movie tonight absolutely brilliant, Kevin costner would not have been someone i thought could have played it out, but he did a great job almost a likeable serial killer if that makes any sense. highly recommend.

i have watched this film twice. my family got the film and after watching there copy of the dvd i went out and got it myself, as well as making 3 of my friends watch and buy it. one of the best films i have ever seen. and this is coming from a second year university film student. Mr. Brooks is pure gold.

i agree with the critics... this is definately the best performance of Costner's career. The thing about him... even though he's a serial killer, i can't help but like him? Anyone else feel like that. Maybe i've seen The Bodyguard & Message in a Bottle too many times, lol! The best scene i think was when he was crying on the floor of the kitchen and Marshall comforted him. His acting in that scene just blew me away. Best movie i've seen i aaaaages!
