Hi Dr. P...just saw (no pun) you today and have surgery scheduled for November. I'm the one with the white catttaract secondary to corticosteroid use. thought this procedure was done with lasers! May I request my own music for my procedure?! =)Seriously, "EYE" look forward to seeing again! I heard severe headaches are not uncommon after the procedure for cases like mine since the optic nerve (?) has been on a slight "vacation" for a while. Is that true?THANKS FOR POSTING THIS! WELL DONE!

"Doctor My Eyes" is the first song. The second song is "These Eyes" by The Guess Who.
I will be having this procedure done on both eyes in November. Actually, it's really alleviated a lot of fear to watch this video. Thank you for sharing it.

Most surgeons employ "MAC" anesthesia which is Monitored Anesthesia Care in which some intravenous sedation is used along with the medicines that anesthetize the eye so not only is there NO PAIN but no MEMORY of the surgery itself. All in all, a very pleasant surgical experience for the patient!

Do they do this while you are awake or do they put you out? |
