If the Iraqis wanted a different government, they could have made it themselves, just like the whole world does every fucking day. The problems in the Middle East are religion and western intervention that allow crazies like Saddam in power. We did support his dictatorship before we opposed it by the way..Let the world govern themselves for christssake.

This is such political BS. Mercenaries are hired guns that operate under a contract and are dispatched to work under the command of their client, the US state department. Would this author prefer to have left the Iraqi's in the hands of Saddam. Such idiocy..I think it should be mandatory for US men to serve in the military so they can get their patriotism from drill sargeants instead of liberal professors.

Yes, I have been there...and I most certainly agree with you that the Iraqi people need a hug...they are the true victims of war...not the American public's feelings. Being there showed me how Saddam needed to be ousted, but we could have handle the aftermath without the corporate influences. Even though I was a contractor for a long time, I believe that the State Department should have hired federal security (DS, AKA Bureau of Diplomatic Security) instead of contracting it out.

Thanks, but i regular hugs. But i think the Iraqi victims need a hug.By the way have you been there? and did you vote for bush?
jmr334 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
You sound very hostile...find the closest person to you and ask for a hug:-)

Looks like some of you need to wake up. Bush and his red neck buddies are all that is wrong with this world. Im not saying that Saddam and his mates where saints, but the shit Ive seen some of the so called good guys do, they are no better. Some of you need to look outside the box. Why is it right for the U.s. to be the judge of whats right? Red necks fuck off

CNN international sucks. Its more "E Channel" than news channel. Its broadcast from Britain which surprisingly feeds off tabloid news even more than Americans. BTW, Scahill is a starving journalist just trying to make a buck by slamming a company that has done nothing wrong. Blackwater is his little literary niche. Kinda like the war in Iraq was for Cindy sheehan
