I personally think that diversity is great. I also think that respect, tolerance and understanding should go with it as well. Mabuhay and mga Pilipino!

Hi, i grew up in manila and currently living in australia. I was thinking to move to cebu to live sorry for the visayas if we have to talk to you in tagalog as i don't know much of your language only some that my friends from visayas told me. I don't mind myself if you answered me in english as i know some visaya people that i know here in australia doesn't know tagalog.

true in many way, i also, when Tagalog talk to me here in cebu, reply to him in English. n their superiority complex must be stricken off if they want us to be give them respect. being Cebuano is everything to me, i am half Chinese by blood but i am more proud of me being a Cebuano and speak my language with pride. My language is a reflection of my culture. i do not mean that we Filipinos are divided only that Tagalog should respect us even if we are different(language) to them Abante Sugbuanon

the problem is, tagalogs always assumes that all filipinos can speak and understands tagalog!and if you dont speak or understand tagalog, then they think youre STUPID!for some of us here in bisayas, theres no incentives for us to learn tagalog!i live on this side of the philippines, not everybody can speak and understands tagalog! maybe a few memorize words learned from tagalog TV shows.

I think you misunderstood my statement. I was pointing out not to Bisaya only but to other Philippine languages which to say was overcome by Tagalog like Ilocano, Kapampangan, Pangasinan (it's not Panggalatok as other people say), Bikolano, etc. And I disagree with you there too. I said,"Tagalog speakers". Not "Native Tagalog speakers". There is a considerable number of Visayans who do not only know Sinugboanon but also know Tagalog too.
