OK, I phrased my sentence poorly. I agree with ExMachine's post 100%--Harris has an open mind with respect to reincarnation, but not Christian or Muslim theological claims. That seems inconsistent to me, which is Krauss' point. Slightly related:Beyond Belief 3 is available at the Science Network's website, featuring both Krauss and Harris, though they do not have a dialogue.

Agreed. It is purely that evidence for the human 'soul' entering the body, based only within dusty old texts (which does not constitute evidence at all), is no comparison to the amount of actual evidence in favour of the huge benefits of stem cell research. Considering what is at stake here, to favour the religious explanation over the scientific upon no reasonable evidence whatsoever (as Bush evidently does, for one important example) is sheer lunacy.

... Can we hug and cuddle now?, Or will you keep showing me your rather amusing repertory of insults but no smart arguments whatsoever?
diebauma (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
You take things too personal and get pissed off rather easily. Maybe if you focused a little bit more on the argument or my position itself rathen than your hatred, you would see things clearly. I've answered everything you said clearly, if you can't understand the position, then maybe you should go back to watching Paris Hilton videos, it's ironical how I'm the one with the different native tongue.

I am not "blaming it on a language barrier" you dumb motherfucker, that was my way of issuing an apology. I didn't respond because you evaded my questions. You did exactly what I thought you would do. While atheism generally correlates with intelligence you are certainly the exception sir. And by the way, what "argument" was I advancing? The whole time, since your 1st post, I've been trying to understand what you are saying and have made no progress. Now I really am done, you imbecile fuck.
diebauma (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Hey, if all you can do at the end to defend your argument is to is blame it on a language barrier when you can easily see that I do speak and understand it very clearly, then you've lost your argument. Bye bye now.

You're a goddamn idiot. I'm done. You should have said that English is not your native language up front as I would not have ridiculed you.

... Maybe I am so deep into my point that I actually got it wrong, and it could be. Still, though, even if Sam did answer Krauss's question, I think his reply was rather lame.
diebauma (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
... Krauss even said in his question as an example exactly what Harris answered: "You wouldn't preach as much as Buddhism, because you like Islam less than you like Buddhism". Harris answered exactly that. I'm wondering why, if he was never asked that, Krauss already knew this.
diebauma (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
.... Krauss already knew this, as he stated in the question itself. I think someone like Dawkins would've done a much better job replying to that question. In any case, I know Harris thinks irrationality shouldn't be taken seriously, no matter if it's harmful or not.
