Yes, that is stupid. No offense :). X-rays and charged particles are expelled from the accretion disk (the stuff falling into the black hole) not the black hole itself. As material falls into the black hole it swirls in a similar fashion to water draining from your kitchen sink. As the material approaches the event horizon it travels faster and faster with less and less space to contain all of the matter. The enormous energy involved throws x-rays and charged particles from the black hole.

1. Einstein was a US citizen (ie. American) - although not born in the states. 2. You're right, America does figure things out because it has/had money. That's why most scientists leave their country and come to the US. 3. Realize USA is a nation of immigrants. So you can rest assured our brilliance is in no small part, if not entirely, your countries brilliance as well. (although I think our schools are trying very hard to make us stupid). cheers.
