What a time! I'll never forget when "Austin Powers" came out back in '97 I thought, "This is so cool, now kids my age will actually know something about places like Carnaby Street!" Being a '60s nut since I was all of 10 I already knew about this scene. All these young people were playing "Revolver" and "Sgt. Pepper" in their bedrooms and turning on to the new sounds of Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix. What a friggin' time to be alive!

You mean the yellow haired girl on the wall? From her eyes, that mole, and red lips, she looks exactly like Marilyn Monroe to me. Marilyn was the #3 Fashion Icon of the 20th Century, which is probably why she's there. A very famous 'landmark' at one time.

I want to take cues from this video to dress my characters (London, 1963) in my new book, but I'm afraid the book is set in 1963... a few years short of this fashion "revolution."
