i'm quite certain he did kill them. Having read the novel a few times, it becomes evident that Patrick clearly lacks a connection to the world outside of his mind, but he still does physically commit these crimes. he kills those people.

The lawyer didn't remember Bateman in the film, then how can you be absolutely sure he met with Allen in London, and he is still alive? On the other hand, we did see Bateman killing Allen. But it's fiction, and mr. Ellis did a very intelligent job writing a novelle, were you can't define true or false, without haltering an argument.

i have no idea but i am guessing Beethoven or a similar style. reminds me of the beginning to Moonlight Sonata. could be altogether different of course sorry to be of so little help
