*1.Odo de Deogilo a participant in the second crusade (1147) speakes about Julius Caesar is grazing fields (fibula Julii Caesaris).
Ricardus the Dominican, affirms in his Hungaria Magna (1237) that the Hungary was called pascua Romanorum on the arrivals of Hungarians. Thomas de Spalato (13 th) wrote that Hungary was pascua Romanorum (Hot regio dicitur antiquitus fuisse pascua Romanorum).

*2.The Chronicon rhytmicum Sitticense, written after Tatar invasion of 1241, says that the kindom of the Hungarian was called Pascua Romanorum. Finally, in Descriptio Europae Orientalis, compiled in 1308, mention is made of the existence of the Romanians of Thessalia , called Pastores Romanorum, and inhabiting Hungary, where they were pascua Romanorum.

simply because Bucharest encroached in the Transylvanian issue, I think most of the romanians/vlachs would have chosen rather Hungary in those times if there had had a referendum in Transylvania

If there was hungarian suppression in Transylvania why did my grandma say they had a good time with romanians they celebrated both romanian and hungarian festivals and danced to both romanian and hungarian music in their village, there was no problem. Although school language and church language was hungarian. But that is not an oppression because that time there were many many more hungarians living there so they needed the official language to be hungarian. |
