oohh shet!sorry about the song bark at the moon it was just an ozzy song but not black sabbath..sorry sorry the 2 legendary heavy metal bands of all time IRON MAIDEN vs. BLACK SABBATH iron maiden - different world, the trooper, transilvania, run to the hills, 666 number of the beast... black sabbath - bark at the moon, children of the grave, paranoid, iron man, war pigs... Iron Maiden are a British heavy metal band from east London. The band were formed in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, formerly a member of Gypsy's Kiss and Smiler. Iron Maiden are one of the most successful and influential bands in the heavy metal genre, having sold over 80 million albums worldwide.[1] The band won the Ivor Novello Awards for international achievement in 2002.[2] The band was also inducted into the Hollywood Rock Walk during their tour in the United States in 2005. The band have headlined several major events in its career, notably Rock in Rio, Ozzfest alongside Black Sabbath, Donington's "Monsters of Rock" and "Download" Festivals and the "Reading and Leeds Festivals." Iron Maiden are influenced by Thin Lizzy, UFO and Deep Purple amongst others. Iron Maiden's mascot, Eddie, is a perennial fixture in the band's sci-fi and horror-influenced album cover art, as well as in live shows. Eddie was drawn by Derek Riggs until 1992, although there have been various incarnations by numerous artists including Melvyn Grant. Eddie is also featured in a first-person shooter video game from the band, Ed Hunter, as well as numerous books, graphic comics and band-related merchandise. Black Sabbath are an English heavy metal band from Birmingham. The original band line up of Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Terence "Geezer" Butler (bass), and Bill Ward (drums) is the same as the current line up (2007) although there have been many shifts of personnel over the years. Black Sabbath remain a dominant influence in the heavy metal genre they helped create.[1] VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock ranks them second, behind Led Zeppelin.[2] Currently, the early 1980s line-up of the band featuring Iommi, Butler, Ronnie James Dio and Vinny Appice are touring under the moniker Heaven and Hell, a title taken from the 1980 Black Sabbath album of the same name.

Why are you playing an Ozzy song for Black Sabbath? Anyway, Maiden is more endowned than Sabbath, and more widely known, but Sabbath started everything, and they were a kick ass band. I'd go with Sabbath, cause their the Pioneers Of Metal.

Iron maiden all the way, I like sabbath but they got NOTHING on maiden, ie eddie, clever little puns etc etc etc, plus I cant think of one maiden song I dont like execpt for one from the era of blaze bailey, but even had some wicked songs like futereal...so...yea, maiden rocks!

Sabbath, no contest. If there was no Sabbath, there wouldn't be a Maiden either. Plus, Led Zeppelin should've been second!
