Monzon was clearly the best of his era. Hearns was a very very good boxer technically and a massive puncher who ko'd world champions in every division from welter to light heavy. His weakness was sometimes stamina and he didn't have the best chin if caught. Monzon wasn't a big puncher + often went the distance v Briscoe, Valdez,Griffith etc. He would have to try and wear Hearns down+ go for a later stoppage. I think Hagler was better though. Also higher standard of middleweights in the 1980's

The best middleweight ever? In a division that has had Robinson, Hagler, Hopkins+ Toney that is some claim. Very good boxer. I think he was a little one dimensional at times+ often fought smaller opponents. Many of them ageing welterweights moving up. e.g Benevuti, Griffith, Durable, good stamina. I think Hagler was a better athlete, stronger+ had more variety in attack. Monzon V Hearns? Would have been a good fight. Possibly Monzon in later rounds, IF he could survive Hearns early attack...

Carlos Monzon was a great fighter...best ever in the middleweight cat. It´s impossible compare him but fighters from modern times...but is sure he can beat Hearns and Haggler. Hearns had a cristal jaw, and Haggler well would be a great show.

Monzon was a complete fighter and the greatest middleweight imo. He would of easily defeated Hearns by KO or TKO in under 5.

he had good tecnique skinny light lets and a bigger torso with good upper body strenth to put power behind his shots specially once he had a man hurt with his size, but i dont think he met the greater bunch of middleweights, a good thing for him of course and off the subject he beat his wife and then eventually killed himself.

u must realize this is the fourteenth round of a tough fight, cuz griffith was a tough dude, and monzon was not undefeated by chance, but i think that evolution creates some great fighters too, id like to see him w the top of the line haglers, hearns, toneys, leonards, etc...
