Their are two drummers as this was common in southern rock bands i.e. Allman Brothers/Outlaws/Marshall Tucker etc. Two drummers means that the music is very tight - as both must land on time to keep (a) very tight control of the situation. Solid foundations make for a very well established beat that is at the foundations of any good song.

Well I'm not really familiar with this bands music, but my friend is the niece of the lead singer, Donnie Van Zant (that also makes her the niece of the other van zant brothers) and that's pretty freakin' sweet.
