http://www.ted.com What is happiness, and how can we all get some? Buddhist monk, photographer and author Matthieu Ricard has devoted his life to these questions, and his answer is influenced by his faith as well as by his scientific turn of mind: We can train our minds in habits of happiness. Interwoven with his talk are stunning photographs of the Himalayas and of his spiritual community.

The strange thing is once happiness(calmness, whatever you consider happiness) increases, others wonder why iam happy, sometimes they are still looking for their own happiness, clinging.

Hinayana is the renunciation path, Vajrayana is the transformation path and Dzogchen is the path of Self-Liberation.

Renunciation is not what Buddha himself instructed. Totally, on the contrary!!!!! desire must be dealt with the "middle Path." Is all about right amount not some renunciation bullshit man.

Desire is the root of suffering but in high levels of dharma such as Tibetan Buddhism, it is not only dealt with by renunciation. There are various paths. All work only with empowerment from a guru. pinkunicorn789 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
You keep pulling off exceptional situations and evading the original question: The hypocrisy of the Dalai Lama.
