Flying longer than the battery allowed caused me to have to land fast! This is what broke, how I fixed it, and how it flew afterwards. I used $20 in Parts and $12 for a new Hitec HS 55 "Feather" servo. Hope you enjoy. Remember: Everybody crashes r/c's sooner or later, especially if you push the limit on the battery, as I did. Please Subscribe and rate this video, if you would be so kind. Thanks for watching. Dave

It IS a cool idea, but my blade shuts down at 7 minutes just about every time, and the timer is free. Adding another expense and gadget to my heli is not worth it to me. Im with the "Keep it Simple Sir" crowd. They also have low battery warnings that flash a very bright blue light to warn you of low battery. Your idea requires a radio with a receiver in the Transmitter to receive the signal, ya know. Most beginners will crash it way before the battery runs low anyway. LOL.

also the battery can vary in time even if you have it clocked depending on how much thrust you use servos. idk i thought it was cool idea

Get a Honeybee Mark CP2 which will loop and roll, and not cost a bunch. $129, I think.

Yes. I think they have them already, and they beep very loudly so you can hear them, but in reality, I have just been setting my timer on the tx and when it goes off, I have about 30 seconds to get him down. Cheaper, eh?

that would be a good idea if the plane could send the transmitter a signal saying that its low on battery.

Blade 400 is best if you going to jump into 3d. I assume you can fly a MK3 or CP2 around fine, because the King or Belt CP's (and Blades) are quite a handful for a beginner to learn on with no instructor to help him learn.

im going to get my first 3d should i get a honey bee king 2 or a belt cp they look the same to me but how do they fly if you have any other helis in mind im not willing to pay over 200 thanks

Thanks. It doesn't push lots of air, it's that the motor shuts down automatically on low battery and I was too low in a loop. There was not enough kinetic energy to do an autorotate. It is fine however and now I always set my timer. LOL.
