She sang her heart out on this one and she's got amazing control of her pitch and volume, she's got perfect timing too. I love the yearning in her voice.... One of the best songs from the 1960's.

Dude - I know just what you're saying. The only thing I can say is that it is a perfectly written and executed song. The build and release is a f*ck*ng masterpiece.
And I have heard a SoCal art/punk band (The Tiajuana Dogs) sing the living sh*t out of it. So that adds to it's cred . . . . doesn't it????? :)
