indeed true but finding re-usuable parts that are not to badly damaged and re-atatching them is still a dtep ahead of what this chair is doing altho you are right this is the 1st step towards things like that.

This shows the application in hardware memory. It would be like sending a robotic-driven tank somewhere. If it was attacked an lost pieces, the tank could find pieces that are still usable and pull parts back together. Also very useful in landers on other planets. We don't have to guide the machine, it knows where the pieces are.

ok ok the self repairing bit i get but the fact it breaks itself? i mean it breaks itself then fixes itself? if you break it ull probly break the pary that fixes it so its more of a party trick than an advancement in technology

well uh.. nice that we're advancing in technology... but for something so useless (in my opinion). Why would we need a self repairing chair?
