We are hearing the unconfirmed news now they are beginning to release (them) but not allowing (them) to go back to the Lhasa monasteries." Hundreds of Tibetan monks arrested during the demonstrations were sent from Lhasa to remote Qinghai province. The monks were for the most part from the important Sera and Drepung monasteries.
