Novelty theory attempts to calculate the ebb and flow of novelty in the universe as an inherent quality of time. It is an idea conceived of and discussed at length by Terence McKenna from the early 1970s until his death in the year 2000. Novelty theory involves ontology, morphogenesis, and eschatology. Novelty, in this context, can be thought of as newness, density of complexification, and dynamic change as opposed to static habituation. According to McKenna, when "novelty" is graphed over time, a fractal waveform known as timewave zero or simply the timewave results. The graph shows at what times, but never at what locations, novelty is increasing or decreasing. According to the timewave graph, great periods of novelty occurred about 4 billion years ago when Earth was formed, 65 million years ago when dinosaurs were extinct and mammals expanded, about 10,000 years ago after the end of the ice age, around late 18th century when social and scientific revolutions progressed, during the sixties, around the time of 9/11, and with coming novelty periods in November 2008, October 2010, with the novelty progressing towards the infinity on 21st December 2012. --Wikipedia The Fractal Time Software: hermetic.ch/frt/frt.htm (note: there is a free version around on the net/p2p) Novelty theory at Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wi i/Novelty_theory *Uploaded under the policy for Fair Use, Freedom of Information Freedom of Speech. It wasn't in May that caused that rapid spike down. This is suppose to be about consciousness. It was in June of 96 the Nintendo 64 was released in Japan kicking off the beginning of more zombies. When your playing video games your consciousness is cut off from novelty. You in a sense become a zombie and time flies by as if in a time warp. G-d might just become fed up at this and cut off all consciousness and thus we fade into oblivion. Just check out the release schedule of Sony's consoles. :)

best part: "When time machines are built." Not if, simply when. Amazing.

u can search the torrent on mininova, or i could email it to u.. its very small and u'll need a program like dosbox to run it, its an old dos program and modern versions of windows cant run it... it's amazing stuff... it inspired me to make a video about it, but trying to sum up what is in one's mind and then project it to a video is harder than i thought :)

So what dramatic event happened around may 1996? If Mc Kenna has a point, then what is it. Because we can now lok at it in retrospect. I looked the year 1996 up on Wikipedia, and in may of that year nothing special seems to have happened. But on july the fifth something groundbreaking did happen: Dolly, the cloned sheep, was born. So I guess that has to be the dramatic shift he's referring to, right?
