maybe, we'll never know...just my opinion is all. forrest is a great fighter in any case. i wish him all the best.

forest seemed like he was naturally bigger with a longer reach plus he improved on his already good technique so it would be a tougher fight then u make it seem.....i didnt really follow forests career because im more of a jones jr ,mayweather fan but he's been fighting at junior middle so dont know if they would have fought anyways

you're right, ams and pros are different worlds. to be fair to tszyu, ricky got him at the end of his career and what that war came down to was, who wanted it more. ricky was starving, tszyu had an appetite. mayorga tought us that a hungry pressure fighter with a good chin, heart and power can find vernon's chin. peak tszyu is mayorga with much better footwork, skill, straighter, shorter punches, better defence, experience, generalship, quicker and a million other tools that = vernon ktfo.

o your talking about mayorga but Tszyu lost to ricky hatton who's a holder and mauler..all im sayin you can never tell how good a person truly is by amateur fight. maybe tszyu would have won maybe he wouldnt have

similar but much worse for forrest if they had of met in pros. if a single dimensional brawler could pressure and find vernon's chin, tszyu would have found it that much quicker. tszyu had much more success at pro. tyson lost to very good am boxers like tillman and biggs. tall rangey guys that kept tyson at the end of their broom sticks for 3x3s and that was it for tyson, he got his revenge at pro because it suited his game ie more rnds and less involvement by ref, same as kostya.

well maybe he did, but an amateur fight isnt really to be takin all that seriously it doesnt mean he would have won if they fought professionally. mike tyson lost to some dude in the amateurs(forgot is name but he was a contestant on american gladiators) but then knocked him out in the pros...i like Tszyu though it wouldve been nice to see him fight floyd.

i understand what ur saying about the commentators, they were a little biased but tszyu is absolutely owning forrest there, volume up or down. he is making forrest miss constantly, beating him to the punch and countering all day with the right hand over the jab. it's not close at all.
kaiylo (September 22, 2008 at 12:25 am)
your being fooled by the commentator who's basically only saying when tszyu lands...try watching it when the volumes down so u wont be inlfuence by the voice in the backround....plus i never said tszyu wasnt winning but it wasnt like a complete devastation....its not that hard to lose in an amateur fight.... ps i box

kostya outclassed him. watch the fight again, but have someone with a clue about boxing watch it with you and explain it all to you.
bashor31 (September 21, 2008 at 4:07 am)
no stretch at all, watch it again he was outclassed
