Better than the U2/Green Day version. And tha's coming from a U2 fan!! Stuart Adamson was a terrific guitarist and this a realy edfy, natural energy to it.

The U2/greenday version is very slick, not surprising since they have lots of money and hi-tech equipment. However,I heard this on the radio the other day, I came into the room at about the 1:20 point on this video where there are no vocals, I knew instantly it wasn't this version as the guitarists were inferior. Just listen to the music (not the vocals) and it is apparent - the Edge (and Greenday), you ain't ever going to be as great guitarists as the brilliant Stuart Adamson!!

Totally forgotten about "The Skids" until this. "Into The Valley" rules! My one claim to fame is sharing a drink (or two...!) with Stu after a gig, at the uni bar(GUU).

Class, very pleased to find this classic RIP Stuart. In my youth days was lucky enough to see the Skids in 77, even interviewed Stuart for a punk fanzine. Thank you for the upload and thank you to the Skids. Ahoy Ahoy !
