She is indeed... but I believe the cameraman had a little thing for Brix rather than (I THINK) Craig Scanlon. Understandable. He does get a lot of close ups for sure.

I've been straining my ears and I've tuned into it, there is a dull rythmic twang, and I think you're right that she is tracking the bass-line. I'm glad we sorted that out! ;0

I'm pretty sure she is doubling the bassline, and it is more than barely audible, but obviously the other guy is playing lead, if you watch the fingers.

A sad muso.

is she doubling the bassline, up an octave? Sorry, now I've had a close listen, I find myself becoming a bit of a muso.

So, do you think that Brix can actually play guitar? The only time I saw The Fall was in 1999, so no Brix present.

Don't get me wrong, this is one of the best live Fall tracks on Youtube. My point is that the film-makers have set it up so that it appears that Brix is playing the lead guitar (lots of camera focus on her and her fingerwork)because she looks good, when in fact her guitar is barely audible.

what makes you say that?
mgdoble (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
You notice that they've cunningly created the impression that Brix is playing lead guitar (is it even plugged in?) when all the work is being done by a guy beavering away off camera to the left.
