I am an african american and I am a member of a women's barbershop choir. I am the only african american in the group. It's neither a bad or good thing but it's just that some music appeals to some and not others and that really has a lot to do with the culture in which they are raised. I know there are definitely different ethnicities involved if you don't just count caucasion and african american...so it is a diverse group...if you really want to be technical.
