From 1975's "Pressure Sensitive", here is Mr. Laws with my fave, "Tidal Wave." Sampled for A Tribe Called Quest's "The Love";Usher for "Think of You"; Quasimoto for "Return of the Loop Digga"; and Black Moon's "Who Got the Props?". Enjoy!

I remember Ronnie Laws, Freddie Hubbard, Woodie Shaw, Maynard Ferguson, Clark Terry, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Bill Chase, Grover Washington Jr., Chick Corea, and so many others from the 70's. I grew up with this music. Jazz was so good then!!!

I'm originally from Watts (103rd Place off Avalon). Will Rogers Park was the place back in the day. To let you know what I'm talking about the Jack n the Box is still there on the corner adjacent to the park. lol

I never really heard this original song; I only knew of it from Black Moon discovered it on the liner notes of Usher's [first] album. Still it's one of my top 3 favorite Ronnie Laws songs
