Can he play or what!! I've noticed that he has fewer negative comments than any other drummer on you-tube. Those of us who "get" Elvin know that his playing transcends technique and has the ability to purify our souls. Thankyou Elvin

He never looks like he's even trying. Every video I've ever seen of him he makes it all look almost trivial. It's just scary how good he was.

one of the best drummers of all time along with max roach, jo jones, and others. I love the way he is able to achieve so many sounds out of that drumset =. He is just working those drums like it's nothing and he's so fast and clean. I'm glad I know about elvin jones since watching him has indeed helped myself get better playing my drumset

Not bad for a septuagenarian ! How many of today's heavy metal drummers will be as good when ( if ) they reach this age ? Huh ?
