exactly this is what you call building a character and establishing his gimmick. we get promos and then the new superstar debuts and all of a sudden they are nowhere near their gimmick.

This kind of stuff is what proved me wrong. When Martel first turned heel, I didn't think it would work, with him being a face his entire career. But this pretty much made the concept of "Evil Rick Martel" believable.

These Arrogance commercials never fail to make me smile and/or laugh. For 11 years I was hooked on WWF/WWE (I quit watching in 2001), and this was one reason why: They were entertaining without being offensive. God, I miss that.
