my grandfather was a tank commander for the

show me a war that did not have an economic/material undertone.Young americans are brainwashed to kill and maim fellow human beings just so their americans can have time to argue about men marrying men,drive 100,000dollar cars,fornicate with the next neighbors wife and call other races/tribes by derogatory apalates.why cant true valour reside in not going to war and learning to just get along without eyeing some other persons resources.Sad that the world has come to exist on mutual suspicion.

Indeed.I just cant imagine what those Marines felt as they approached that beach oncethe Japsopened up. One thing I do find interesting is about all the attention the flag raisers received.Though they did a great thing, its a shame that other werent recognized for their valor. Marines like Douglas Jacobson who killed over 75Japanese! Or Hershel Williams used aflamethrower to take out 7 pillboxes.A total of 27 medals of Honor were giver to Marines and Seamen at Iwo.Something to think about...
